Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox!

So this past week, I have been trying out different products from the Beauty Blogger VoxBox. I am so happy that I got one! I love everything that came in the VoxBox, and I'll be doing some quick reviews on it all. So if you're interested in finding out what I got and my thoughts on them, then keep on reading....

First up is the Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit. It retails for $5.99 in stores, I think I've seen them at Walmart. I really did like this little kit. The plastic tweezers are definitely a big help. I always get scared I'm going to stab myself with my regular tweezers lol. When I tried the lashes out I barely felt like they were even there which is a huge plus. I know many people who enjoy using Kiss lash glue, it dries clear and really does keep those lashes on.

Next is the Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin. This retails for $7.29, and I know they sell them at Target for sure. I've seen the ads for these and always wanted to get them but was worried about how they'd do with medium length, layered hair. I can tell you now that they are awesome! I can finally put my hair up in a simple bun without the use of tons of bobby pins! Definitely recommend this to anyone.

Next, Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream. This retails for $6.00 for a full sized 4 oz. bottle. First off I love Not Your Mother's Hair care products! I have 2 of their hairsprays right now. When I got this I was thrilled because my hair tends to frizz a lot, no matter what the weather is like. Now after trying this I'd have to say it works great but after leaving it in while my hair dried it made it a bit crunchy until I brushed my hair out. I tried it with dry hair and it works great!

Bath and Body Works Mini Candles, retail for $3.50. I am in love with Bath & Body Works Candles hands down. When I got this, I burned it right away and my room was filled with pumpkin cupcake scent. Highly recommend to anyone who loves candles and Bath & Body Works.

NYC IndividualEyes Custom Compact, retail for $4.99 in stores. You can find NYC at almost any drugstore. The consistency of the shadows were nice, they have a good pigmentation. I didn't care to much for the primer though. It left my lids more oily than they already are.

EBOOST, retails for $28 for a box of 20, $39 for a box of 30, and $39 for a box of 12 shots. Now this I have yet to try but I do love Orange flavor. It says that it will boost your mood, focus, and immunity. I am always looking for new ways to boost myself up. This has natural ingredients and doesn't leave you with a crash at the end.

All in all I really loved this box! You should check out the influenster site and definitely try out these products for yourself and let me know how you liked them! Till next time^_^

Books. Books. And More Books!

So I have been reading A LOT in the past 3 months! I have become what I have always been but it's a bit more now lol. I am a true bookworm according to my family and friends. I have over 50 hard copies of books and over 90 books in my Kindle app! Crazy, right?

Well I just wanted to share my little collection with you. I have a love for British Literature, Poetry, Italian History, Romance, etc...

Hands down I have a massive love for Delilah Fawkes, Megan Hart, Kelly Favor, Ava Claire, Dante Alighieri, the Bronte Sisters, Jane Austen, Thomas Hardy and much much more. If you have ANY questions about any of the books, I'd be more than happy to give you any insight I have on the Author and/or book. I'll be putting up reviews on not only makeup and other beauty products but books as well. Till next time ^_^

Fall Lipsticks 2012

So these are my favorite lipsticks to use during fall and also into winter. I've been loving bold lips and recently started gaining the confidence to rock them out. Living in a small town where there's not much focus on fashion and beauty is a bit overwhelming lol. I miss the joys of living in a city where everywhere you turn you see someone rocking a different look.

So from left to right we have; Freckletone, Peachstock, Ruby Woo, Ruffian Red, Heroine, Rebel, and Tangerine Tango.

I love Ruby Woo the most! Because it's a Retro Matte it has amazing staying power, also who doesn't love to rock a bold red lip, especially during fall =D

Here are the swatches for each color.

Next up we have my drugstore lipsticks. I recently decided to melt them down and place them in these containers. They're save up so much space now which is nice because I hate clutter on my desk lol.

In the first tube from top to bottom we have; L'oreal Fairest Nude, CoverGirl Spellbound, Revlon Berry Haute(#660), Maybelline Wine & Forever, and Revlon Va Va Violet(#663)

The next tube we have; Rimmel by Kate #01, NYX Chic Red, Rimmel by Kate #09, Rimmel #124 Bordeaux, Maybelline #420 Deepest Cherry, and Studio Gear Warm & Cozy.

Here are the swatches for each color.

I hope you enjoyed reading this and take some inspiration, and rock some gorgeous bold lips for fall! Till next time ^_^

Update!

So it has been about 3 months since I last wrote a blog post. I've been so crazy busy with life that I've started to put a lot of stuff on the back burner! But I am going to try to post more often when I can.

What have I been up to? Well, I've been busy trying to get everything straight here in Arizona. Going through almost everything we own and taking it out of storage to organize and store in my in-laws shed. I've also been working on figuring out what to take to Korea so that's a fun task. The hubby is trying to get us out there asap. We are also getting ready for him to come home on leave for my birthday next month! Eeek so excited for that!

I've been starting to look at getting back into school. I have been looking at becoming a Medical Lab Technician. I've been looking at good schools online to try and get something going since I'll be leaving in a few months. I've also been reading A LOT if you follow me on intagram (bookworm_la88) you'll see what I mean lol.

My son is growing like crazy! He'll be 3 years old in 4 months which is unbelievable for me! He'll hopefully be getting into pre-school on post once we get to Korea. We shall see what happens there.

I was in California for about a good month and a half visiting my family. We had a great time getting together and remembering my Uncle on his anniversary. He left this earth a year ago in July which was hard for us all but we are moving forward with life, and remember him every day. It was great to be with my family for a good amount of time.

Well that's about it. Thanks for reading my little update and I'll be posting on here as soon as I can. Till next time ^_^

Influenster Mom Vox Box 2012

Today in the mail my Mom Vox Box 2012 finally arrived! If you're interested in seeing what was in it then keep on reading ^_^

This is just the detailed card of what was in this box.

A list of the wonderful free samples came in the Vox Box, along with pictures, a short description and their retail prices:

DenTek Comfort Clean & Fun Flossers: $1.99 to $2.99 for full packs. I absolutely love these things. You get the regular pack and a fun pack for kids. This is perfect because I am slowly starting to teach my son to floss his teeth and these look like they'll be fun for him. They help your floss easier without the hassle of dealing with regular floss.

imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails: $5.99 to $7.99 I had seen the ads for this on TV and really wanted to try them. I finally have the chance to try them out, and I love the color that I got. These babies really do stick on and last through things. They're great for on the go moms, because they stick on great. Like it says on the box, "fast & easy" that is no joke right there lol.

Ivory Bar Soap: $4.27 for a 10 pack bath size bars. I absolutely LOVE Ivory soap and after reading the description about them I love it even more. There are many multiple ways to use this one bar of soap, plus it is 99.44% pure! It's great for getting that clean feeling in the shower, laundry soap! (didn't know that you chip flakes off into the washer!), and great for hand washing those delicate clothes.

Stash Tea Superfruits Tea Sampler: $3.50 Now I am usually not a big tea person unless it's black tea but with all the wonderful flavors this has I am definitely willing to try it! There's Mangosteen, Goji Berry and Pomegranate Raspberry, Acai Berry, Yumberry Blackcurrent and Bluberry! They also included Necktar Naturals Honey Crystals to use as a natural sweetner!

Last but certainly not least, Quaker Soft Baked Cookie: $2.69 for box of 6. Now I haven't tried this yet, but I am definitely looking forward to it. I absolutely love Quaker, it's been one of my favorite oatmeal brands growing up.

Now if you're wondering what Influenster is, it's this website where you can sign up to get free vox boxes if you qualify. You earn badges on their website. This box was sent to me for free. June Glambag "Out All Night"

Ok, so I just pic stitched everything together to save time lol.

First off the bag itself is horrible. They say you can use it as a clutch but I highly doubt any girl wants gold glitter every where that this little bag can rub up against. It's not amazingly made to last up as a clutch for most women, at least in my opinion. And yet again the bag smelled horrible, I don't know what they do but for some reason almost everyone's bags have this horrible odor to it.

Next up we have a NYX Round Lipstick in Georgia. I don't care for this color. I feel like I look ridiculous even trying it on. Don't get me wrong it is a gorgeous color and I bet there are people out there who can pull this color off but I sure as heck can't.

Next the Marbella PERMANENT Eyeliner. I am not one for liquid liners, let alone a "semi-permanent" eyeliner. I swatched it on my hand and let me tell you this thing doesn't want to come off. That alone scares me enough to NEVER put this on my eyes. I checked out the Marbella website and supposedly it's suppose to last like 7 days.... Uh no thank you! Now the next 2 products aren't horrible and I actually like them.

First we have Living Proof frizz Nourishing Style Cream. This is supposed to basically give your hair a barrier against humidity and frizz. I have massively horrible hair during the summer, and humidity is not my friend so I look forward to trying this out.

Lastly we have Philosophy Take a Deep Breath oil-free energizing oxygen gel cream moisturizer. Philosophy is an amazing brand and I have tried out a good bit of their products. This is supposed to moisturize, detoxify, and protect your skin to help give you a healthy looking glow.

Overall this bag was a bit of a miss for me. I know a lot of girls who got there's love it. I like my bag, just not a love for me. My favorite bag was April's glambag. But we shall see what next month brings. Till next time, take care!
