Mail Call! Glossybox and Urban Decay

So today I was super excited for the mail and UPS to arrive because I finally got my Urban Decay box, and my Glossybox! If you're interested in seeing what I got then keep on reading =)

First up we have the November Glossybox! If you're unfamiliar with Glossybox, they are a subscription beauty box. This one is $21 a month, and you get 5 deluxe sample sizes and 1 full sized. I am in love with this subscription service.

Products are listed from left to right, and all the information is from the card provided:

Perfumies - A solid perfume stick, a perfect travel companion, these slender and elegant sold perfume sticks allow you to touch up your fragrance on the go. These convenient perfume sticks have an all natural base, no preservatives, paraben-free and are never tested on animals.
So far I like the scent of this little stick, and I love the convenience of it being a little stick. I don't ever bring my perfume with me on the go, and I definitely hate when the scent starts to fade away due to outside smells, and such. If you're into perfume and are looking for a convenient little way to take along your perfume, then this is probably for you!
Arganics by NuMe Argan Oil - A perfect compliment to any hair and skin care regiment, this Argan Oil is rich in Vitamin E and other beneficial fatty acids. Non-greast and specially formulated for rapid penetration, the oil brings a whole new level of shine and luster to even the most ravaged and damaged hair and skin.
Now I was able to try this out today and I fell in love with it. I have a review on a NuMe Curling Wand. I really do love NuMe products, but I find them overpriced. For the full size bottle it is $59 for 4 oz. I can go to Sally's and find the same size if not bigger for less than that and it still work the same.
Illamasqua LTD - Lips & Eye Medium Pencil. Designed to glide over your skin and create a long-lasting highly pigmented finish, this creamy pencil lets you write a different story with every look. Use it to create sultry eyes and sensuous lips.
I have yet to really try this out, and I know Illamasqua is a pretty good brand. I have a nail polish from them from a previous glossybox and I absolutely love it. So I look forward to trying this out.
Skin&Co Roma - Truffle Serum: Hydro-Toning Day Face Serum. Give your face a boost and slow down the sign of again using this Italian serum infused with Peptides, pur extracts of Tuber Melanosporum and Hyaluronic Acid. Use daily for a brighter, more toned skin.
Now I have tried this out for a couple days and just love the way it makes me skin feel. It feels more smooth, and definitely softer. It is $36 for 1.01 oz, and I definitely think I will be getting this soon and do a better review on it.
Lierac - Gammage Sensoriel. This unique gel-oil texture scrub transforms into a milk upon contact with damp skin for skin-smoothing, toning, and invigorating exfoliation. A mix of three white flower extracts and four precious botanical oils regenerate and soften the skin.
It is $30 for 3.5 oz, and this is another product I'll be getting soon too. After trying this out my skin definitely does feel a lot smoother and softer. I love the smell, it's not overpowering like a lot of other face products.

Overall, I love my Glossybox and I will continue to keep my subscription until I move or maybe even after and just have my mother in law send them to me lol. Glossybox is a great subscription service, and although it is a bit pricier than other subscriptions out there, it is well worth it. Like they say, "you get what you pay for"

Now if you get emails from Urban Decay you'd know that they were have a sale a while back. If you were to buy 2 eyeshadows you'd get the 6 pan Build Your Own Palette for free! Now if you love UD like I do, how could you pass up an opportunity like that! So I took this opportunity and bought 4 shadows and got 2 palettes.

Tease is a matte pale brown. I love using this as my blending color/transition color. It is just a touch lighter than my skin tone.
Freelove is a shimmery golden vibrant peach. I love peachy colors and this just popped out at me.
Peace is a shimmery bright turquoise. I don't own many blue eyeshadows, and I just love the shade of this one.
Mushroom is a shimmery warm pale gray. Ever since I first started using UD and saw this color I have always wanted it but never gotten around to buying it so I finally got it.

Now if you don't know about the new UD individual eyeshadows, here's a little bit of info. These aren't ordinary ones. They can be popped out of their casing so that you can place them in the BYOP and create a variety of styles and colors for yourself. I love that they came out with this idea because I hate the work you have to put into depotting shadows when you get them individually. All you do is pop them out of the case and snap them into the palette and you can always switch out your colors and place the palette in your bag and go. Perfect for traveling.

Here are the swatches of each eyeshadow. Now with the BYOP you get the shade Walk of Shame with it for free. It's a nice matte highlight type of color. I have two of them because of course I got 2 palettes lol. But that is okay because I do like this shade. Walk of Shame is also in the new Basics palette, it's part of UD's Naked line. As you can see Tease matches my skin tone almost perfectly lol. I love the new formula that UD has made for their shadows. They are so buttery smooth and creamy, and very easy to blend in my personal opinion. If you haven't tried out Urban Decay, then I highly recommend that you give them a try. I love them lol.

I no way shape or form am I sponsored by any brand. I bought this all with my own money and all the opinions are my own. Thanks for taking the time to read and check out my blog. Subscribe for more hauls, reviews, comparisons and much more. Till next time, take care!^_^

Review Time! Urban Decay Naked Foundation

Who's ready for this review?! Lol I've been using this foundation for about a month now and I have to say hands down I LOVE this foundation! It has replaced my MAC Matchmaster.

Now Urban Decay says that this foundation is Weightless, and I definitely have to agree with them! I left behind wearing full on foundation because it felt way too heavy on my face sometimes so I switched over to a BB Cream. Then one day I was strolling through Sephora doing some birthday shopping and decided to try this out. It was one of my best purchases that day lol. It feels like you don't have any foundation on at all, yet still look pretty dang flawless.

I love Urban Decay because they are cruelty free and every single product I have from them is amazing quality. I also got the Vice Palette which I will do a review on later down the line. This foundation is hands down my new holy grail foundation. I am shade 7.0 if anyone is wondering, I'm also an NC42 at MAC for any shade reference.

Rating:
Overall Performance 5/5
Coverage 5/5
Weightless 5/5
Shade Range 4/5
Would I purchase again? Most definitely!

I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a nice coverage foundation without that cakey feeling to it. Till next time, take care and thanks for taking the time to read^_^

Haul Time! Ross, Sally's, and Target!

So this afternoon I went a little cray cray with my shopping, but it's cool. It's that time to start getting some long sleeves and bulk sweaters! Why? Because I'm moving to Korea soon! Yup, my son and I get to go live with my hubby. Just waiting for some paperwork yay! Anyways, enough rambling onto what I got today!

First stop, Ross! I absolutely love shopping at Ross. Bargains are a mommy's best friend lol. I mean if you shop smart, you'll get the most out of your money. I can't imagine spending so much for just a shirt anymore.

I saw this shirt and fell in love with the color! Since Christmas is just around the corner, I'm starting to get into more reds, and greens! And I don't know why but I'm into the whole cross thing lately. I got this shirt for only $8.99 I think this would be great for a nice casual little outfit or even dress it up a bit. We'll see what I come up with in the future!

I am in LOVE with the whole hi-low trend in shirts. This is a sheer button up, so I pair it up with a black tank top. I love wearing these with a nice pair of skinny jeans and some boots or wedges! This was $13.99

I needed a new pair of skinny jeans because I've been finally losing weight! Yay! It's taken me almost 3 years to start shedding all the weight I gained during pregnancy. Anyways, I tried these on and their the type of jeans that fit like a glove lol. This was $13.99

Next up Target! My favorite place in the world to shop for clothes! I'm practically obsessed with the brand Mossimo. If you were to go through my closet that is practically what makes up 1/2 of my closet lol.

So this is my first ever infinity scarf. I rarely wore scarves but now that the girl in me is finally coming out I am starting to expand my wardrobe lol. This was $19.99

I love turtlenecks! They are just so comfy and keep me nice and toasty in cold weather lol. I chose a nice green color. I am starting to steer away from the normal black and gray colors. Gotta get some variety! This was $19.99

Next is this comfy red basic pull over that is great to layer over a basic tank top. I have a gray one already so I thought I'd add another color. This was $17.99

I also got a regular basic long sleeve V-neck. You can never go wrong with the basics. With the right accessories and pairings you can always dress it up or down, depending on how you're feeling that day. This was $12.00

I got this nice slightly heavy pull over sweater. I don't own any heavy sweaters and this one is definitely comfy and cozy. It was $24.99

And of course my obsession with shoes took over and I couldn't resist when I saw these! My husband says I have a problem lol. But come on! Shoes are just so amazing! They can make an outfit complete! I don't own and flat boots so when I saw these I prayed they had my size and they did! They are super comfy and simple. This was $34.99

And last but certainly not least, Sally's Beauty Supply.

First up is the Mane 'n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner. Now there's a good bit of people out there that think this is for horses, but I assure you they are not lol. Actually my brother recommended this to me. I'm trying to grow my hair out, and he says this definitely helped him. My brother's opinion is one I definitely trust so I thought I'd try it out. I will definitely let you know in a month how this works for me. Shampoo and Conditioner were $5.99 each.

Now, I have a HUGE obsession with polishes. I was going to get a full sized bottle of one of the red colors but when I was about to check out I saw the cute mini set of Orly Holiday Polishes and chose that instead! It was $15.99 for the set. Next I grabbed a new Seche Vite Topcoat since mine is getting low, this cost $6.99. I also had to grab a new nail buffer because mine met it's death by dog lol. This was $4.29. Lastly I got eyelash curler refill pads, this was $3.69.

Well that was my haul, I hope you enjoyed reading and get some ideas from my random fashion lol. Soon I plan on doing my updated collection storage of my makeup soon in installments, so look out for that. Until next time! Take care^_^

Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox!

So this past week, I have been trying out different products from the Beauty Blogger VoxBox. I am so happy that I got one! I love everything that came in the VoxBox, and I'll be doing some quick reviews on it all. So if you're interested in finding out what I got and my thoughts on them, then keep on reading....

First up is the Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit. It retails for $5.99 in stores, I think I've seen them at Walmart. I really did like this little kit. The plastic tweezers are definitely a big help. I always get scared I'm going to stab myself with my regular tweezers lol. When I tried the lashes out I barely felt like they were even there which is a huge plus. I know many people who enjoy using Kiss lash glue, it dries clear and really does keep those lashes on.

Next is the Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin. This retails for $7.29, and I know they sell them at Target for sure. I've seen the ads for these and always wanted to get them but was worried about how they'd do with medium length, layered hair. I can tell you now that they are awesome! I can finally put my hair up in a simple bun without the use of tons of bobby pins! Definitely recommend this to anyone.

Next, Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream. This retails for $6.00 for a full sized 4 oz. bottle. First off I love Not Your Mother's Hair care products! I have 2 of their hairsprays right now. When I got this I was thrilled because my hair tends to frizz a lot, no matter what the weather is like. Now after trying this I'd have to say it works great but after leaving it in while my hair dried it made it a bit crunchy until I brushed my hair out. I tried it with dry hair and it works great!

Bath and Body Works Mini Candles, retail for $3.50. I am in love with Bath & Body Works Candles hands down. When I got this, I burned it right away and my room was filled with pumpkin cupcake scent. Highly recommend to anyone who loves candles and Bath & Body Works.

NYC IndividualEyes Custom Compact, retail for $4.99 in stores. You can find NYC at almost any drugstore. The consistency of the shadows were nice, they have a good pigmentation. I didn't care to much for the primer though. It left my lids more oily than they already are.

EBOOST, retails for $28 for a box of 20, $39 for a box of 30, and $39 for a box of 12 shots. Now this I have yet to try but I do love Orange flavor. It says that it will boost your mood, focus, and immunity. I am always looking for new ways to boost myself up. This has natural ingredients and doesn't leave you with a crash at the end.

All in all I really loved this box! You should check out the influenster site and definitely try out these products for yourself and let me know how you liked them! Till next time^_^

Books. Books. And More Books!

So I have been reading A LOT in the past 3 months! I have become what I have always been but it's a bit more now lol. I am a true bookworm according to my family and friends. I have over 50 hard copies of books and over 90 books in my Kindle app! Crazy, right?

Well I just wanted to share my little collection with you. I have a love for British Literature, Poetry, Italian History, Romance, etc...

Hands down I have a massive love for Delilah Fawkes, Megan Hart, Kelly Favor, Ava Claire, Dante Alighieri, the Bronte Sisters, Jane Austen, Thomas Hardy and much much more. If you have ANY questions about any of the books, I'd be more than happy to give you any insight I have on the Author and/or book. I'll be putting up reviews on not only makeup and other beauty products but books as well. Till next time ^_^

Beauty Bloggers Club

So I just signed up on this awesome blog! It's to help all beauty bloggers find new blogs to follow and also help gain some new followers! You should check it out and join up!

Fall Lipsticks 2012

So these are my favorite lipsticks to use during fall and also into winter. I've been loving bold lips and recently started gaining the confidence to rock them out. Living in a small town where there's not much focus on fashion and beauty is a bit overwhelming lol. I miss the joys of living in a city where everywhere you turn you see someone rocking a different look.

So from left to right we have; Freckletone, Peachstock, Ruby Woo, Ruffian Red, Heroine, Rebel, and Tangerine Tango.

I love Ruby Woo the most! Because it's a Retro Matte it has amazing staying power, also who doesn't love to rock a bold red lip, especially during fall =D

Here are the swatches for each color.

Next up we have my drugstore lipsticks. I recently decided to melt them down and place them in these containers. They're save up so much space now which is nice because I hate clutter on my desk lol.

In the first tube from top to bottom we have; L'oreal Fairest Nude, CoverGirl Spellbound, Revlon Berry Haute(#660), Maybelline Wine & Forever, and Revlon Va Va Violet(#663)

The next tube we have; Rimmel by Kate #01, NYX Chic Red, Rimmel by Kate #09, Rimmel #124 Bordeaux, Maybelline #420 Deepest Cherry, and Studio Gear Warm & Cozy.

Here are the swatches for each color.

I hope you enjoyed reading this and take some inspiration, and rock some gorgeous bold lips for fall! Till next time ^_^

Update!

So it has been about 3 months since I last wrote a blog post. I've been so crazy busy with life that I've started to put a lot of stuff on the back burner! But I am going to try to post more often when I can.

What have I been up to? Well, I've been busy trying to get everything straight here in Arizona. Going through almost everything we own and taking it out of storage to organize and store in my in-laws shed. I've also been working on figuring out what to take to Korea so that's a fun task. The hubby is trying to get us out there asap. We are also getting ready for him to come home on leave for my birthday next month! Eeek so excited for that!

I've been starting to look at getting back into school. I have been looking at becoming a Medical Lab Technician. I've been looking at good schools online to try and get something going since I'll be leaving in a few months. I've also been reading A LOT if you follow me on intagram (bookworm_la88) you'll see what I mean lol.

My son is growing like crazy! He'll be 3 years old in 4 months which is unbelievable for me! He'll hopefully be getting into pre-school on post once we get to Korea. We shall see what happens there.

I was in California for about a good month and a half visiting my family. We had a great time getting together and remembering my Uncle on his anniversary. He left this earth a year ago in July which was hard for us all but we are moving forward with life, and remember him every day. It was great to be with my family for a good amount of time.

Well that's about it. Thanks for reading my little update and I'll be posting on here as soon as I can. Till next time ^_^

Influenster Mom Vox Box 2012

Today in the mail my Mom Vox Box 2012 finally arrived! If you're interested in seeing what was in it then keep on reading ^_^

This is just the detailed card of what was in this box.

A list of the wonderful free samples came in the Vox Box, along with pictures, a short description and their retail prices:

DenTek Comfort Clean & Fun Flossers: $1.99 to $2.99 for full packs. I absolutely love these things. You get the regular pack and a fun pack for kids. This is perfect because I am slowly starting to teach my son to floss his teeth and these look like they'll be fun for him. They help your floss easier without the hassle of dealing with regular floss.

imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails: $5.99 to $7.99 I had seen the ads for this on TV and really wanted to try them. I finally have the chance to try them out, and I love the color that I got. These babies really do stick on and last through things. They're great for on the go moms, because they stick on great. Like it says on the box, "fast & easy" that is no joke right there lol.

Ivory Bar Soap: $4.27 for a 10 pack bath size bars. I absolutely LOVE Ivory soap and after reading the description about them I love it even more. There are many multiple ways to use this one bar of soap, plus it is 99.44% pure! It's great for getting that clean feeling in the shower, laundry soap! (didn't know that you chip flakes off into the washer!), and great for hand washing those delicate clothes.

Stash Tea Superfruits Tea Sampler: $3.50 Now I am usually not a big tea person unless it's black tea but with all the wonderful flavors this has I am definitely willing to try it! There's Mangosteen, Goji Berry and Pomegranate Raspberry, Acai Berry, Yumberry Blackcurrent and Bluberry! They also included Necktar Naturals Honey Crystals to use as a natural sweetner!

Last but certainly not least, Quaker Soft Baked Cookie: $2.69 for box of 6. Now I haven't tried this yet, but I am definitely looking forward to it. I absolutely love Quaker, it's been one of my favorite oatmeal brands growing up.

Now if you're wondering what Influenster is, it's this website where you can sign up to get free vox boxes if you qualify. You earn badges on their website. This box was sent to me for free. There are tons of other different kinds of boxes they send out. You should definitely check out their website and sign up! You might get lucky like a lot of others and qualify for some free boxes! Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed.

June Glambag "Out All Night"

Ok, so I just pic stitched everything together to save time lol.

First off the bag itself is horrible. They say you can use it as a clutch but I highly doubt any girl wants gold glitter every where that this little bag can rub up against. It's not amazingly made to last up as a clutch for most women, at least in my opinion. And yet again the bag smelled horrible, I don't know what they do but for some reason almost everyone's bags have this horrible odor to it.

Next up we have a NYX Round Lipstick in Georgia. I don't care for this color. I feel like I look ridiculous even trying it on. Don't get me wrong it is a gorgeous color and I bet there are people out there who can pull this color off but I sure as heck can't.

Next the Marbella PERMANENT Eyeliner. I am not one for liquid liners, let alone a "semi-permanent" eyeliner. I swatched it on my hand and let me tell you this thing doesn't want to come off. That alone scares me enough to NEVER put this on my eyes. I checked out the Marbella website and supposedly it's suppose to last like 7 days.... Uh no thank you! Now the next 2 products aren't horrible and I actually like them.

First we have Living Proof frizz Nourishing Style Cream. This is supposed to basically give your hair a barrier against humidity and frizz. I have massively horrible hair during the summer, and humidity is not my friend so I look forward to trying this out.

Lastly we have Philosophy Take a Deep Breath oil-free energizing oxygen gel cream moisturizer. Philosophy is an amazing brand and I have tried out a good bit of their products. This is supposed to moisturize, detoxify, and protect your skin to help give you a healthy looking glow.

Overall this bag was a bit of a miss for me. I know a lot of girls who got there's love it. I like my bag, just not a love for me. My favorite bag was April's glambag. But we shall see what next month brings. Till next time, take care!

Mail Call!

I am super excited that this came in the mail the other day! I am in love with Sugarpill Cosmetics! If you're interested in seeing what I got then keep on reading.....

First off, I was able to snag the new Heart Breaker Palette! The colors are amazing and just like any other Sugarpill eyeshadow they are SUPER pigmented and blend so nicely. I cannot wait to try out new looks with this. I have the Burning Heart Palette and I swapped the Sweetheart Palette which I am regretting, and when I tried to buy a new one they were sold out =( boo! The packaging is just like the other 2 palettes except the front is blue. This little palette costs $34, I think or at least somewhere around that price range.

Rating:
Pigmentation: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5
Price: $$
I would definitely repurchase this if I ever hit pan!

Next I finally snagged Bulletproof single shadow! Every time I went to the site to buy it, they were always sold out. Again, I love the pigmentation and how lovely it blends. By far Sugarpill is my HG for wonderfully bright fun colors. I am going to start working on getting all their pigments next =D That is how much I love them lol.
Rating:
Pigmentation: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5
Price: $
Will definitely buy again!

I also got a sample of the Chromalust in Magpie! It's this gorgeous shimmery dark blue color, love it!

Here are all the swatches in natural daylight.

Project Use Up for April and May

So I have been attempting to use up a good chunk of my face products. For the past 2 months I have been able to use up a good chunk of it. Left to right I have used up,

Sonia Kashuk Brush Cleaner I don't care for this product at all. The smell is a bit too overbearing for me when I use my brushes. It is also hard to get out the soapy residue sometimes. I won't be buying this again.

Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner I freaking love this product! I love the way it smells. It makes my brushes feel nice after they're cleaned with this on a daily basis. I got the small one just to try it out and now I am going to purchase the bigger sized bottle as soon as I can get to a Sephora store.

The rest are a bunch of mark. face products. I didn't care for them at all but I wanted to use them up and not waste money. They didn't do much for my face. So I won't be purchasing them again.

Thanks for reading, until next time take care!

Massive Collective Nail Polish Haul

Lately I have been highly into upping my nail polish collection, so over the past couple of weeks I have just been going nail polish crazy! If you're interested in seeing what I got and where I got it from then just keep on reading :)

First up we have a good chunk of the nail polish brand China Glaze. I have been obsessed with this brand ever since I bought "For Audrey" from Sally's Beauty Supply. I have been getting a wide range of colors lately. I bought all of them besides 3 from Head2Toe Beauty Store. I just did a random web search and found them. Their polishes are at a great price and range from different brands. I bought the China Glaze for only $3 each.

Here's the rest of the China Glaze and all of my Sinful Colors polishes. I got the Sinful Colors from Target, I know you can them at other places I just can't remember where right now lol. They were only $2 each at Target.

I decided to try out a magnetic nail polish and while I was at Sally's I found a couple but I chose the Finger Paints Polish which was around $4-$6 each. Also from Head2Toe Beauty I got 2 Color Club polishes for $3! I have been collecting Essie polishes for a while now. I just bought 2 from the new collection. I got these at Target, now these are pricey for nail polish, it's around $7-$9 depending on where you buy them at.

Last but certainly not least my Sally Hansen and the new Maybelline Polishes. The Sally Hansen ones range from $3-$6 at Walmart. The Maybelline ones were $3 also at Walmart.

Now all of these polishes are great quality and very pigmented. Almost all of them only require 2 coats at the most for the best results. So far my favorite brand would have to be China Glaze. There's a huge color variety at a great price! If you're interested in seeing swatches of any of these polishes just leave me a comment and I'll be sure to get that up as soon as I can.
